Today our pastor went over the full armor of God (Eph.6). I love this chapter because I think so often we forget the battle raging around us. We forget that we have an enemy that never sleeps or tires. He hates us. He hates God. He is a deceiver, accuser, liar, and on and on. Knowing this, Paul exhorts us to put on the full armor of God to stand against the devil. But for the first time Tom and I learned that there is no armor for the back. That's because we are not to retreat from our enemy. Stand your ground! Put on your armor and fight with the strength and power (Eph. 1:19) of our Holy Awesome God!
