IHY, Please read folks profiles more carefully before you post. I am a man, and not a lady.......

As far as for my post over on Kenny's page, I'm not sure why you responded to me? My comments were directed to him and not you, the mention of your name was in response to how I knew he had a myspace account.

If you read my post, I didn't tell him (and certainly not you) to immediately delete his account. I shared my opinion that MySpace (and FaceBook) is nothing but trouble. Sure there are lots of adults on there......... there are lots of adults out there looking for trouble! Which is exactly WHY teens should not be there.

If you feel I'm lecturing as a parent, so be it! I even commented to that effect in my post to Kenny. I've never been afraid of advising and correcting anyones children, and trust me I'm not about to change.

Now I'm sure that you're a sweet young girl in spite of the awful user name which you have selected.

Personally, your choices in username, movies, music, etc., tells me you are screaming out for someone to notice you. Trust me, I know you better than you can ever know me.... see I once was a teen, and I'm raising teens.

If you were my daughter, you wouldn't be on MySpace or FaceBook, until you had gone off to college. You also would not be going out at 15 to 'mosh' anywhere, and if you displayed 'emo' tendencies, I would have you in to see a child Psychologist. Plus any dark eyeliner would be thrown away immediately and be grounds for 'long term' grounding.... likely numbered in MONTHS!

My daughter (13) was just grounded for 3 weeks for wearing pale peach eyeshadow to the mall. She is allowed to wear foundation (due to a pigment condition, otherwise that would be out as well) but eye make up is forbidden! (She is also not allowed to be at the mall with friends, unless a parent is escorting them.)

Am I strict, you dang right I am........ but that's only because I'm a loving parent.

Hey, sis! I'm so glad to hear that you're making changes in your life. Sounds like Jesus is living here! I think we all go through times in our lives when we just don't think anyone cares. But once we see that there are people who do, it can make a difference.

Life's busy for me. I just got a promotion at work and things are hectic. But I love my job! I've been doing social work for amost 20 years and I've finally gotten into a job where I'm appreciated and respected. You know, God puts us in places sometimes that are not the best, but He leads us to people who can lead us to where we need to be and where He wants us to be. Sometime, I'll tell you about my different jobs and how I was put down for my faith, lied about to my supervisors by clients and co-workers and how I stuck in there and now He's blessed me with a job I love and can make a difference for Him! Of course, for each one of us, there's always a bit more to tell from a personal level. But that's another story for another day! LOL! Well, I'm soooo glad to get to know another sister in Christ!
