Yesterday I watched a video about lost children in Uganda. My friend told me to watch it even though I really didnt want to because it was 55 minutes long, but i swear this video has put a different view about life in my eyes. That might sound corny but its true. These children in Uganda have nothing, no parents, blankets, food, even clothing. These children are trying to run from "the rebels" who are kidnapping children, brain washing them to kill and then they use them as their soldiers. It is sick and disgusting how a man can use children like this. The reason why they are turning to use children is because the shortage of soldiers for the rebels. So they take the children make them walk to the bush (the desert) and thats when they start the brainwashing. To brainwash the children they take half the kids and torture and kill them while making the others watch so they can desensitize them. The kids are taught to kill and thats it. One kid said "I get headaches if i don't see blood." For the children who are running away from the rebels have a life full of fear, and nightmares. Many of them say that they cannot cry or the will lose the will to live. An eight year old boy saying he cannot cry is just so upsetting. He is just a child yet he has to worry about where he is going to sleep at night, what will he eat, and how to stay away from the rebels. When groups of children get to stay in a shelter for the night they sing songs of praise to the Lord. They dance, they laugh because they know they can live for at least one more day. But some kids are sick of running in fear and just wish their life is over. One boy named David said, "I wish i was dead, YES I wish i was dead so i can be with my brother in heaven, because I'm never going to see him again here on earth. But i know i will in heaven. My heart goes out for these children and I wish I could do more for them. But all i can do at the moment is pray, but one day i wish to be able to help them somehow. I really want you to watch the video to be able to understand everything that they really go through. It just amazed me how much stuff America takes for granted, when they are thankful for a floor to sleep on for a night. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3166797753930210643&q=invisible+children+of++uganda&total=306&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 ^^ put that in url and watch it please!!!!!!!!
